The Cabbage Soup Diet, based on very high fiber, is one of the most popular free diet plans, but by no means is it a long term free diet plan. But if you need to lose some pounds fast maybe for a special occasion or to fit into a special dress then the Cabbage Soup diet can certainly deliver some fast weight loss. The Cabbage Soup Diet is not only a free diet program it is also pretty cheap as far as food goes and may be just what you're looking for.
Pros and Cons of the Cabbage Soup Diet

Cabbage Soup Recipe (The Meal Plan Follows)
- 6 large green onions
- 2 green peppers
- 1 or 2 cans of tomatoes (diced or whole)
- 3 Carrots
- 1 Container (10 oz. or so) Mushrooms
- 1 bunch of celery
- half a head of cabbage
- 1 package Lipton soup mix
- 1 or 2 cubes of bouillon (optional)
- 1 48oz can V8 juice (optional)
- season to taste with salt, pepper, parsley, curry, garlic powder, etc.
Cooking Directions:

Slice green onions, put in a pot and start to saute with cooking spray.
Cut green pepper stem end off and cut in half, take the seeds and membrane out.
Then cut the green-pepper, cabbage, carrots and mushrooms into bite size pieces and add them all to the pot.
You can use beef or chicken bouillon cubes for seasonings. These have all the salt and flavors you will need. If you would like a spicy soup, add a small amount of curry or cayenne pepper now.
Use about 12 cups of water (or 8 cups and the V8 juice), cover and put on a low heat and cook for about 2 hours. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Cabbage Soup 7 Day Meal Plan
Day One:
Unlimited any fruits, except bananas
Cabbage soup all day
Drinks- unsweetened teas, cranberry juice and water
Day Two:
Unlimited fresh, raw or cooked vegetables of your choice, eat till stuffed. Avoid, dry beans, peas and corn.
Unlimited cabbage soup
Dinner: Big baked potato with butter
NO Fruit
Day Three:
Unlimited fruits
Unlimited vegetables
Unlimited cabbage soup
No Baked Potato.
Day Four:
No more than 8 bananas
Unlimited glasses of skim milk
Unlimited cabbage soup
Day Five:
10 to 20 ounces of beef *
Up to 6 fresh tomatoes
Unlimited cabbage soup (eat at least once)
Drink at least 6 to 8 glasses of water especially on this day to wash the uric acid from your body.
*Substitute broiled or baked chicken instead of beef (but absolutely no skin-on chicken).
Day Six:
Unlimited beef* and vegetables (no potatoes)
Unlimited cabbage soup (eat at least once)
*Substitute broiled fish for the beef on one of the beef days, but not both.
Day Seven:
Unlimited brown rice, stuff yourself!
Unlimited unsweetened fruit juices
Unlimited vegetables, stuff yourself!
Unlimited cabbage soup (eat at least once)
Cabbage Soup Diet Rules:
1. Follow the diet religiously, for no more than 7 days at a time and with 2 weeks in between. No substitutions except for those mentioned/no cheating.
2. Drink at least 4 glasses of water per day
3. Consider a vitamin supplement
4. Eat plenty of the cabbage soup so you will not be starving, which can trigger cheating later.
5. Try different spices to liven up the soup and add variety
If you start going crazy with the monotnous menu plan and the cabbage soup portion of the diet, just remember it's only for 7 days! To your success with the Cabbage Soup Diet!

This diet plan is easier said and done but cabbages are delicious though so gotta make some of this recipe and try if this will work for me.
