The first thing coming to mind when thinking of dieting is usually a quick low-calorie diet, which means being extremely hungry when dieting and suffering for a couple of days but rewarding fast results. Unfortunately these results are rarely permanent. Once you reach the end of the diet plan and go back to your normal eating habits, the pounds will sneak back. You did it all for nothing. That is extremely frustrating and makes many people wonder: how to lose weight fast and permanently?
Contrary to the common beliefs, eating less and exercising more are not the best ways how to diet. The calorie theory is based on the idea of all the calories being the same, but that's not the case. When we count calories, we count energy coming from three different macro-nutrients: fat, protein and carbohydrates. Fat has 9 calories per one gram, and protein and carbs 4. So, when counting your calories, it makes sense to try to avoid fat the best you can, right? And that's what the masses are doing. The "healthy" diet is supposed to be high on carbohydrates and low on fat. The thing is, out of the three macro-nutrients only carbohydrates (sugars and starches) are turned into body fat.
It seems that there are two different groups of people: the ones who never gain weight and the ones who do, and that the thing dividing these two groups is their ability to deal with carbohydrates. The ones who don't gain weight are able to burn them off, and the ones who gain weight, aren't. Some people in the latter group can even end up gaining weight on a low-calorie diet, if the diet is high in carbohydrates. If you think you could benefit from dieting, there is only one thing you have to do to start losing weight permanently. Limit your sugar intake the best you can. You will start seeing results within some weeks.

Accept what are you now, know what you want and how badly you want it. Deprive yourself from eating in moderation, follow some effective diet guides along with exercise. By that you’ll lose weight faster.
