Workout for Women Trying to Conceive

Exercising, and making sure you are physically healthy, is good for everyone. When you are trying to conceive, it is even more important that you are fit. Being healthy increases your chances of getting pregnant. What are the best workouts for women who are hoping for a baby?

The type of workout you should be doing depends on your condition. Cardio exercises, which make your heart beat faster, are great for everyone. They regulate insulin levels, and are especially great for women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, and those who are obese. But you don’t need to go top the gym for your cardio workout! Here are some exercises that are practical and easy for every woman who is trying to get pregnant. These exercises will fit into your everyday life, so that you won’t even know you are working out at all.

1) Women are notorious for being wonderful at multi-tasking, aren’t they? Keeping this fact in mind, the first type of exercise I will mention is sex. Sex works your muscles, gets your heart beating faster, and obviously, is the best workout for women who are trying to conceive, because you might just get pregnant while you are exercising. Make sure you use an ovulation calendar and ovulation tests to swing those odds in your favor!

2) Do you drive to work, or use public transportation? If cycling to work is a realistic option, this sure is a great for exercise, and very practical too. If your place of work is too far away, parking further away, or getting off the bus early to take a walk does the same thing.

3) Take the stairs rather than the elevator wherever you go. We use elevators more often than we even realize, and going up the stairs actually gives you great exercise. If you are planning on trying this, do take into account that it will take you a while longer.

4) Do you have a yard? Mowing the grass will get you sweating. The larger your yard, you more exercise you will be getting. While you are at it, you could offer mow your neighbors’ grass too! I bet they won’t believe their ears when you offer. Don’t tell them you want to mow the grass to get pregnant though, or they might call your doctor.

5) Spring clean your house! Organize and declutter as best you can, in preparation for your little one. If you clean in a sturdy pace, and especially if you do things like cleaning windows, taking the curtains down to wash them, and scrubbing the floor on all fours, you will be burning calories. Who knew that house-cleaning could be serving such a beautiful cause?
